SPRAVATO® (esketamine) is the first and only NMDA receptor antagonist approved for 2 subtypes of MDD in adult patients SPRAVATO® is a prescription medicine, used along with an antidepressant taken by mouth to treat: Adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD) Depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) with suicidal thoughts or actions SPRAVATO® is not for use as a medicine to prevent or relieve pain (anesthetic). It is not known if SPRAVATO® is safe or effective as an anesthetic medicine. It is not known if SPRAVATO® is safe and effective for use in preventing suicide or in reducing suicidal thoughts or actions. Further cementing her academic achievements, Ms. Brewer attained her Master of Science in Nursing with Summa Cum Laude distinction from The University of Phoenix in 2021. Her clinical journey commenced at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Edgewood, Kentucky, where she specialized in orthopedics as a registered nurse. In 2008, Ms. Brewer relocated to Arizona, enhancing her clinical expertise in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, Phoenix. There, she delivered critical care to patients navigating the recovery process from cardiac events and surgeries. Recognizing a broader spectrum of patient care, she expanded her proficiency by contributing to both the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. Her passion for knowledge transfer led her to mentor nursing and paramedic students, as well as to orient new staff members. Ms. Brewer holds certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and maintains an active membership with the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society, underscoring her commitment to nursing excellence. Ms. Brewer’s career trajectory evolved as she assumed the role of a Clinical Education Specialist for Emergency and Trauma services, an endeavor that garnered her a nomination for the prestigious March of Dimes 2015 Nurse of the Year in Education. In 2016, she rejoined direct patient care as a night shift charge nurse in the Intensive Care Unit with Dignity Health, reaffirming her dedication to patient-centric care. Previous Next Marion’s nursing career started in 2006. She has worked in the Emergency Department at various facilities in the East Valley for almost ten years and in Post Anesthesia Care Unit for eight years. She has cared for patients from all walks of life during their most vulnerable times. Marion earned her Master’s degree in Nursing with an emphasis on Psychiatry at Walden University. She has gained rewarding and relevant experience during her clinical rotations at various mental health facilities. She is fluent in Tagalog and is familiar with the Asian culture. Her professional membership includes Arizona Nurses Association and American Psychiatric Nurses Association. During her free time, Marion likes to spend time with her family and go on long drives. Previous Next David is originally from Illinois and relocated to the Phoenix area in 2016. He holds a BSN from The University of St. Francis in IL. His MSN, with a concentration in education, was achieved at Grand Canyon University in 2020. David harbors a passion for education, considering it a fundamental component of healthcare for both patients and staff. In May 2023, he accomplished a significant milestone by receiving a Post Master's FNP degree from Grand Canyon University. During his studies, David undertook rotations in cardiology, endocrinology, and primary care medicine. He's now thrilled to commence his practice with AMA, dedicated to serving the community to the utmost of his ability. Before joining AMA, David accumulated vast experience as a pediatric ICU nurse for five years and also spent two years working with adult patients in a progressive care unit. This diverse professional background has equipped him to provide care for individuals from all walks of life. He's committed to offering his patients kind, compassionate, and holistic care, ensuring they feel they are receiving the best possible treatment. On the personal front, he's married to his wonderful wife and is the proud parent of twin daughters, whom David considers his greatest blessings.
