American Medical Associates seeks a full-time Certified or Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner to join our busy Primary Care/Internal Medicine/Multi-Specialty practice in the City of Maricopa, AZ. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Our Nurse Practitioners plan, direct, and evaluate patient and employee healthcare in an ambulatory setting; examine and treat chronic and acute episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries/illnesses; performs selected laboratory testing; offers referrals to outside physicians and facilities, writes prescriptions, and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment. Our Nurse Practitioners also work with the medical director in the care and treatment of patients and staff. Duties/Responsibilities: Meets new and existing ambulatory patients in the clinic for examination, diagnosis, and development of patient care plans based on the patient’s medical history. His MSN, with a concentration in education, was achieved at Grand Canyon University in 2020. In May 2023, he accomplished a significant milestone by receiving a Post Master's FNP degree from Grand Canyon University. During his studies, David undertook rotations in cardiology, endocrinology, and primary care medicine. Before joining AMA, David accumulated vast experience as a pediatric ICU nurse for five years and also spent two years working with adult patients in a progressive care unit.
