    Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified - Maricopa, AZ American Medical Associates (AMA) is an Integrated Internal Medicine Practice looking to bring on a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage in our Maricopa, AZ location on a full-time basis. Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and evaluate treatment results for patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Assess, diagnose, and treat adults and youth populations over 14 years of age experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders. Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessment, treatment plan, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries. Examine or order laboratory or diagnostic tests for clients to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorders. Refers patients for inpatient care, in collaboration with the Mental Health Division Clinical Director, as necessary. Communicates with patients and engages in follow-up as necessary. Oversee Mental Health treatments, such as Spravato. Ensure compliance and that all policies and procedures function in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations. Required Skills: Liaise with patients, Mental Health Providers, and Internal Medicine Providers to coordinate patient care plans. Design/participate in the development of individualized treatment plans, incorporating best and leading practices into treatment interventions.     Previous Next Lleva began her career in healthcare in 2013 and obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2014. She has worked in various areas such as home health, acute care, and in legal settings. She worked for Dignity Health for over nine years, where she spent 5 years working in the neurological telemetry department at Chandler Regional Medical Center. Afterwards she proceeded to work in the emergency department where she became a certified trauma nurse and also learned to care for patients with emergent psychiatric needs. In 2019 she was recognized by her patients and peers and was awarded the Daisy Award. Lleva received her Masters Degree in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in 2022. She thoroughly enjoyed her clinical rotations in various mental health facilities including here at American Medical Associates. Lleva gained valuable experience working as an intern with adults and children 3 years and up after completing her program. She has experience working with a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders, trauma, anxiety, bipolar, depression, and psychedelic treatments.
